Romanos Molfessis passed away at the age of 25, leaving behind 14 poems, some in Greek and others in English. Alexandros Molfessis and Kassandra Simitis-Molfessis translated from/into Greek and English these 14 poems in "memory" of a brilliant scientific mind, a man who was noble, cultured, altruistic, with a strict moral code, who envisioned a better world full of justice, equality, art, beauty, poetry and above all "Truth".

There is no shortage of artists, poets, and intellectuals, who chose to end their life early, unable to endure the burden of living in a world where they no longer felt they belonged.
Romanos was a brilliant physicist and chess player, an admirer of the arts, a person with great intellectual prowess and quick, acerbic wit that would often leave you scrambling to decipher the cleverness of his words.
Above all else, he was a sensitive and caring man that was loved by everyone who came to know him.
These remarkable qualities, regrettably, could not ultimately overcome the shadow that was cast by his own inner struggles and philosophical quest for truth.
Because of that, the world is a little less bright; not because it missed out on the next great scientific mind, but because it missed out on the inevitable and indelible imprint that such a person is destined to leave on the people and world around them.
