ΤΟ ΦΙΜΩΤΡΟ

Nowadays, gossip and, even worse, slander have gone beyond any limit of legitimacy. At the same time, however, the opposite has also spread widely: Not to be able to speak freely about something which, to your objective – as you believe – opinion is illogical, anti-social, and unethical. In which case you come face to face with the dilemma: To express your opinion, or to remain silent and thus be safe out of the real fear that you may lose your head? Consequently, you either gag yourself, or you have the courage to speak out and thus experience the punch of the law or, more likely, of illegality. This is the message that I am trying to convey in the seven short stories of «The Gag»: To tell the truth, even though truth is usually rejected with hostility as well as violently by its guilty recipients.
