Tasos Vyzantios
Tasos Vyzantios (pen name of Rev. Anastasios Salapatas) was born in 1962 in Nafplio, where he grew up. He studied Theology at the University of Athens, Medieval History at the University of London and did postgraduate studies in Ecclesiastical History at the Universities of Wales and London. For the last decades he has been living permanently in England, where he is serving the Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira & Great Britain. He is married to Virginia Konstantinidou and they have two sons, Dimitris and Nikos.
He has published 28 books, mainly on historical topics. He has also published three collections of poetry, entitled: «Φαεσφόρος Αίνος», «Όπου Γης» and «Αθόρυβα», a literary essay entitled: «Alphabet - Greek Weekly Upgrades», as well as a current essay entitled: «Κεκλεισμένων των Θυρών – Ημερολόγιο καραντίνας λόγω κορωνοϊού (Closed doors - Quarantine diary due to coronavirus)».
He is particularly interested in recording and presenting the history of Hellenes Abroad. Thus, he wrote and published works such as: «Hellenism in South Wales (1873-1993)», «Mixed Marriages in the Greek Orthodox Community of Great Britain», «The Greek Diaspora in Great Britain (History - Current Situation - Perspectives)», «Greek Orthodox Community of St. Panteleimon NW London, 1975-2000» and «Travelogue of the Venerable Head of Saint Panteleimon to Old Albion».
Vasiliki V. Pappa
Vasiliki V. Pappa was born in Trikala and lives in Thessaloniki. She studied Pastoral and Social Theology at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Belgrade. She holds three postgraduate diplomas (Ecclesiastical History, Christian Ethics and Sociology of Christianity). She continued with doctoral research in Pastoral Psychology, submitting her candidacy to Professor Christos Vantsos. She graduated from the Department of Serbo-Croatian and Russian Language of the Blood Peninsula Foundation. She obtained a diploma in B. Physiotherapy and Photography from the Vocational Training Institute of Igoumenitsa, from the School for Executives of Children of the Ministry of Health, the School for the Blind in Thessaloniki (BRAILLE), the Welfare Department of the Greek Red Cross. She worked as an active theologian in public schools in Greece and as a School Vocational Guidance Counselor at Igoumenitsa’s KESYP, while today she works in the Department of Psychology of AUTh.
She published in print and electronic press (has interviewed more than 300 people in the field of Letters and Arts). Today she is the editor of Culture Magazine (www.caltmagz.com)
