TASOS BYZANTIOS

Tasos Byzantios was born in 1962 in Nafplion, where he grew up. He studied at the University of Athens and the Universities of Wales and London. In the last decades he has lived permanently in England, where he serves the Archdiocese of Thyateira and the Greek Parochial Education. He is married to Virginia Konstantinidou and they have two children, Dimitris and Nikos.
He has published 30 books, with mainly historical subjects, with an emphasis on recording and presenting the history of Hellenism in Diaspora. He has overseen the writing, publishing and circulation of dozens of community and school magazines and albums.
He usually writes in Greek and English, while his texts and poems have been translated into German, Russian, French, Georgian and Chinese. He has also published four collections of poetry, with the titles: "Faesphoros Ainos" (2009), "Every Land" (2009), "Silently" (2018) and "On the Princess’ shores" (2021). His articles, on historical, theological, literary and cultural topics, are regularly published in newspapers and magazines.
