Pantelis Tsolpakis

Pantelis Tsolpakis, born in the village of Kalachori, Alexandria (formerly Neon Skylitsion), Episkopi Community, Imathia prefecture, in the year 1946. After basic education in primary school, he attended the then private high school in the neighboring village of Kavasila, with a successful high school diploma and good degrees in ancient Greek. The struggle during the years of the dictatorship forced him to go abroad, to Germany, first to Stuttgart and later to Berlin, where he studied Economics at the University of Berlin (HWR Berlin) obtaining a Diploma in Economics in the field of Business Economics (BWL). He then continued his studies at the Technical University of Berlin ( TU ) in the field of Informatics.
From 1980 onwards searching for old ancient books written in German by German philosophers of modern philosophy from 1750 to the present day, he built up a remarkable collection of many well-known German and philosopher scholars, Philhellenic and non-Philhellenic.
A faithful scholar of these books he translated and interpreted many of their philosophical books and then decided to write and publish some of them in original translations. In 2021-22, his philosophical book "The Life of Socrates and his seven greatest disciples" is released, a book very simply written for the general readership. The second book is "PLATO'S SYMPOSIUM - EROS: Source of Beauty and Good", which will be published by AKAKIA Publications in 2024.
He has also written and published the book "Kalahori, Memory of Life", about his birthplace, written in 2018 where the history of the village is mentioned with biographies of some of the residents.
