Giannis Katsaras was born in Kalamata, Messinia, where he grew up. At the age of eighteen he went to Great Britain, where he studied Politics and International Relations at De Montfort University in Leicester. He continued his postgraduate studies at the Diplomatic Academy of London (DAL) with a first postgraduate degree in Diplomatic Studies and a second in Communication Law and Politics at the University of Westminster, London. He then went to Paris, to the Department of French Culture at the Sorbonne, where he studied French Language and Literature.
He is involved in writing, research, political analysis and articles.
In 2018 he published the book "Fruste", an essay with a philosophical and anthropological character by "Fylatos" Publications. In 2019 he published from the same publications the book "O Axestos", a short story with a character-hero and the subject of the migration of young people abroad through the social aspects of economically wintering Greece. In 2021 he published the book "Enohi Kori", an exhibition of sexually explicit stories with crude descriptions in conditions of modern patriarchy by AKAKIA Publications in London.
