Eleni Biliri-Grammatikou was born in Thessaloniki in 1939, of Asia Minor origin on her mother's side. She pursued a professional career as a Construction Technologist. She worked for more than 40 years, in studies of specialist projects in civil engineering, architect, surveyor and decorator. Since 2000 she worked on bioclimatic design studies and clean-building technologies, in collaboration with the architect Elli Georgiadou. Alongside her professional career, since 1985 she was involved in the study, research and classification of material related to the life and work of Hellenism in Asia Minor, Pontus and Eastern Thrace. She published many articles and interviews and gave lectures with corresponding content. Since 2001 she was a member of the Greek Union of Smyrniots and Asians Minor "Ioniki Estia of Thessaloniki" in which she served as general secretary of the Management Board and for years a member of the Management Board or President of the Audit Committee while she was also a member of the Management Board of the association "Friends of the Historical Archive of Refugee Hellenism" of the Municipality of Kalamaria as well as a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Little Refugee" in which she published interviews, customs and short stories. She died in Thessaloniki in 2021.
