Koliofoutis Athanasios of Vassiliou and Maria was born in 1972 in Thessaloniki, where he lives with his family and still works today. After finishing his high school studies in 1990, he was admitted as a scholar of I.KY.Y. in the Theology Department of the Theological School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1995 he received his bachelor's degree and in 2002 his master's degree specializing in "Pastoral". In July 2012, he was awarded a doctorate by the Theology Department of the Theological School of the University of Athens. and in 2022 he completed his postdoctoral research in the same Department. From 2003 until today, he serves as a Theological teacher of secondary education, while at the same time he teaches at various Universities in Greece and abroad. He has participated as a speaker in various conferences of theological and wider scientific interest and has published studies and articles in reputable scientific journals and local newspapers. His scientific interests are focused on investigating issues of applied pastoral theology. By exploiting the rich pool of paternal tradition and relating the pastoral methodology of the Fathers of the Church to the complex problems of modern reality, it seeks to actively contribute to the updating of the pastoral work of the Church in postmodern society.
