COVER DESIGN

The cover is a very important factor in publishing a book. It should have a professional look, it should challenge the reader to buy it, and it should convey the message of the book's content in an aesthetically and technically sound manner.

When we say 'Cover,' in typography, we mean the complete two-page spread (back cover – spine – front cover) in PDF format.

There are four options of this service, from which you can choose:
A) The customization and file check of the full spread (back cover – spine – front cover) in high-resolution PDF (300 dpi) that you provide. We will also add our logo and the ISBN barcode. Cost 75€

B) You provide us with the cover, but without creating the other elements of the spread.

Composition and customization of the cover. Cost 125€

C) The 'basic' construction of the cover spread, using pre-designed graphic compositions or any photo/design you provide, by placing texts and titles, along with our logo and the ISBN barcode. Cost 180€

D) The deluxe version, in which we use an image purchased from an image bank, a design by a graphic designer/illustrator, and is the result of original work. This means the book will be read to choose the most suitable artistic approach that reflects its content. Two drafts will be created, followed by a discussion and final selection with the author. The result will be a cover that stands out and certainly increases the chances of someone purchasing it, sparking their interest. Cost 380€

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS IN CASE OF SELECTING A:

If you choose option A) and send us your own cover, it must be created by a graphic designer in a Photoshop (PSD) file at 300 DPI. It should be larger than the desired size by 0.32cm on each side (right side of the front cover, left side of the back cover, and top-bottom on both the front cover, back cover, and spine), e.g., 14.32cm x 21.64cm if the book is to be printed in 14cm x 21cm. The elements of the front and back covers (letters, titles) must also be aligned with the printable area (e.g., in 14cm x 21cm). The spine will be created by you once pagination is completed, and we send you the exact page count, as its width will be the number of pages multiplied by 0.00572008cm.

Also on the back cover you should leave a blank 5.93cm (height) x 4.06cm (width) to which the book barcode will be added. Each element (letters, images) must be in a different layer.

Finally, you must have the copyright for every image you use and provide us with all the source information, as well as send us the font you have used.

Any file that does not follow these specifications will not be accepted, and there will be a charge for the creation of the cover.
